Mois de l'Histoire des Noirs
With 25 years of archive data, the challenge was to redesign an adaptable, iconic and sustainable website platform that could last for years to come as the organization evolves with new projects & opportunities.
Mois de l’histoire des noirs is an important event happening during the month of february. The Black history month by La Table Ronde hosts a great variety of activities & experience available during this month. La table ronde is the organization that wanted to expand the activities for the black history month in Montreal by creating a web platform for the people & for organizations inside the community
With 25 years of data archives Le Mois de l’histoire wanted to make the calendars from all previous year available to the public & also share their rich historical history: events, calendar, reports & laureates. Our challenge was to redesign an adaptable, iconic and sustainable brand identity that could last for years to come as the organization evolves with new projects & opportunities.
We began focusing on the organization’s challenges & focused towards understanding the user the solution that fits the user’s need. This lead to a brand visual language that is unique to the platform & non-obstructive to the new content added every year.We simplified the website experience to focus in “what’s happening” during the black history month by designing an event portal for people who want to know what’s happening during the black history month in February.
Finally we compiled all the necessary assets and layout to develop the website using the webflow CMS. The events programmation, the archives section & an internal news platform was created. The organization can now connect with their users while archiving important information to the public.
